Reporting Online

Reporting Online was created for us to have a space to have a voice. It is totally anonymous. We see it on the backend and share it with no one. We will only share the numbers. Everyone can report online and are encouraged to so we can see numbers. You can also report online if your perp is dead, if your statute of limitations is up, if you want to remain anonymous, or if you're like me and don't even know the name of your rapist - report it online. But the key is to show up in person on April 29th. If you or someone you love was affected by sexual violence, show up! We are beginning this campaign on Feb 19th at the Victim's Rights Rally. You should contact your local Rape Crisis Center to go with you to the Report IT Day on April 29th for moral support and to help you report it to the police if you so choose. We are putting up all info on the Report IT website and also this blog. More to come!

Join us for a national rally on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at noon. This is going to happen in dozens of cities across the country! We know that sexual assault is the most under-reported crime in the US. However, when victims do report, we find that they are constantly re-traumatized! We demand justice! Volunteer Positions for Report IT Campaign:
We are seeking many volunteer leadership positions. For each of these positions, the coordinators will receive a special gift from the Report IT creators at the end of the campaign. You can also take pride in knowing that you took part in an unprecedented campaign to shatter the silence of sexual violence. Contact: rallyagainstrape@yahoo.com!

MySpace Coordinator – This person will be responsible for maintaining Report IT MySpace page. This coordinator will seek out MySpace friends who are involved in anti-sexual assault work and healing as well as other groups.

Facebook Coordinator – This person will be responsible for maintaining Report IT Facebook page. This coordinator will seek out Facebook friends who are involved in anti-sexual assault work and healing as well as other groups

Statewide Coordinator – We are seeking coordinators for each state to reach out to all of the women’s groups, sexual assault awareness organizations, and other potential allies in each state. This position requires making a database spreadsheet for the contact information including name, address, email, and phone number.
